The Truth of Teens on Halloween - From Reese’s to Ragers

Why we love it — At first, we were a bit apprehensive about doing an episode based on Halloween, which has connotations surrounding toxic high school party culture, but after talking for over 37 minutes, we realized how big of a role Halloween plays in the teenage experience, especially when referencing pop-culture movies like Mean Girls and breaking down gender roles. Overall, we loved how light-hearted yet juicy the discussion was, and this episode is most definitely a fan favorite.

In a special Halloween-themed Episode 18, we discussed the darker side of what Halloween is like in high school with party culture and how it has evolved from when we were younger. We also talked about some of our favorite (and cringy) spooky season traditions as well as some stereotypes surrounding costumes and gender.
